IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING IMPROMPTU RUNS AND CASUAL CRUISING - QLD SPECIAL INTEREST VEHICLE REGISTRATION

Please ensure that the use of your vehicle fits within the TMR SIV guidelines.

Any use of the vehicle outside of the set of guidelines may see you issued with an infringement notice.

If YOU ARE UNSURE if the use of your SIV registered vehicle meets both criteria then DO NOT USE IT.

IMPROMPTU RUN INFORMATION FROM QLD TRANSPORT:

An impromptu event is an event that has been initiated by a club member, involves one or more vehicles, and must comply with the following elements:

Involves an invitation to wider club members to attend the event; and

is either:

Endorsed in advance of the event by the relevant club or Australian Street Rod Federation committee; or,

where it exists, complies with published club guidelines as to what is a valid event; and

is listed either in the newsletter, on the website, or social media page (or in another manner approved by the club or Australian Street Rod Federation, such as the club calendar of events) prior to the event.

For Impromptu runs for Club members please post on the Facebook group or send the correct information to the Club Page

Information required will be Date / Time / Start Point / Destination.

Contact details will not be published on the Group but should be provided so the Secretary can provide members the information

Members who initiate Impromptu Runs must be prepared to share the run with other interested members.

We've created a new form that MUST be filled out whenever you plan an impromptu run. The best part? All the details you enter will be automatically uploaded to a shared spreadsheet, so other club members can stay in the loop and join in if they’re interested!

How it works:

Fill out the form (button below) whenever you’re planning a spontaneous run with your club-registered vehicle.

Your answers will automatically update to a shared spreadsheet, visible to all members & you will automatically be sent an email with your run information.

That’s it! Easy and efficient way to keep everyone informed.

This is a great way for our club to stay connected and share the fun. Whether it’s a quick drive or an afternoon cruise, now everyone can join in the fun. Let’s keep the spirit of the 98 Club alive!
